Shiftgrid: Shift Work Calendar

1. Information We Collect

No personal information. There is no sign-up, no login and no account of any kind. Your schedule (shift pattern and day overrides), notes, the names of people you add, the hourly rate and rules you enter for pay estimates, and your alarm settings all stay on your device. The app contains no advertising.

No advertising identifier (GAID) is requested or used. No ad SDK is present.
No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK is present in the app.
Anonymous usage events only. The app sends a fixed, minimal set of anonymous events to our server (first launch, first successful use, whether the plan screen was shown and from where, purchase started / completed / cancelled / failed, restore, and a "still installed" ping on day 1 and day 7). Each event carries only an install identifier the app generates at random, an app tag, the event name and a timestamp. It never contains your schedule, notes, names, hourly rate, pay estimates, e-mail, device identifiers or advertising ID. We use it solely to see where people drop off. Raw events are kept for up to 90 days, then only aggregate counts remain.

Alarms and notifications. Shift alarms and the "tomorrow's shift" reminder are local alarms and notifications scheduled on your device. The app asks for notification permission only when you turn an alarm or reminder on. No push service is used.

Device calendar (Pro, optional). When you tap "Export to device calendar", the app asks for calendar permission at that moment and writes your shifts into the calendar you choose. It does not read or store other events from that calendar (it only identifies its own events so it can update them), and no calendar data leaves your device. If you decline the permission, sharing an .ics file gives the same result.

Backup and sharing. Android's built-in app backup may copy the app's data to your own Google account backup if you have that enabled on your device; that is governed by Google, not by us. You can also export your schedule as a JSON or .ics file or share it as a calendar image — the file goes only where you send it.

The only time your schedule leaves the app is when you tap Export or Share and choose where to send it — you pick the destination, and we are not part of it.

3. Third-Party Services

The app contains no advertising or analytics SDK. The only third-party component is Google Play Billing, which runs the purchase itself. The only external party involved is Google, and only for what you initiate:

In-app purchases and subscriptions — processed entirely by Google through your Google Account. We never see your payment details and receive no personal data from a purchase. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in Google Play.

Google's handling of that data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Overseas Transfer of Personal Data

We transfer no personal data abroad. The anonymous usage events in section 1 are received on Cloudflare infrastructure (which may be located abroad) and contain no personal data.

5. Advertising and Tracking

No ads. The app displays no advertising of any kind.
No tracking. Nothing about you is tracked across apps or websites. No advertising ID is read.

6. Children

This app is for a general audience and is not primarily directed at children under 13. It collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

7. Your Rights

Deletion — deleting the app removes all local data. Files you exported yourself, and events you wrote to your device calendar, remain where they are (calendar events can be removed with the app's "Remove from calendar" or in your calendar app). Anonymous usage events cannot be linked back to you and are discarded after 90 days.
